SMS Gear - receives and sends SMS from your PC

SMS Gear is a computer program that enables you to receive and transmit Short Message Services messages (SMS) via a Personal Computer (PC). To work with, it requires a mobile terminal (cellular phones, etc.) registered on the network.

  7. this program looks really fine, but when I try to use it a message comes up with
    “unable to connect to port using port COM1″
    then it tells me to make sure the terminal is connected to the right port and switched on, that there isn’t any application using the port and that the terminal is a compatible device”

    I use ASDL, so I can’t understand why it doesn’t just send the message down the phone line.

    any suggestions?
